Hello dog followers,
Well, I've had a rather traumatic day and to be quite honest I think I'm lucky to be here to tell the tale. Mum fell over on the ice earlier in the week so walkies have been a little bit scarce. As it's Saturday today I was very keen to get out and about for a bit of fresh air. Mum wasn't too enthusiastic about it because her knee was still hurting, but I can be very persuasive and, after lots of barking, jumping on her lap and licking her ear, I managed to get her to take me out. With hindsight, maybe we should have stayed home and watched TV!
We had a lovely walk, and we were on our way back when we stopped by the pond for a sniff. While I was there I spotted some ducks giving me attitude on the other side of the pond so I decided to give chase. Unfortunately I forgot that the pond wasn't frozen anymore and I fell in the water. It was very deep and I went right under and got water up my nose. Thankfully I managed to get out but I was soaked through and very cold. Mum laughed at me, which I thought was rather unsporting, but when she realised how cold I was, she was very kind and took her coat off and carried me home in it to stop me shivering. When we got home Mum found me a blanket to cuddle up in front of the fire and now that I've defrosted I feel much better.
Mum said maybe that would teach me not to chase the ducks - does she know me at all :-) ???

More snow pics!
Well it's Saturday, which means mum didn't have to traipse through the snow to work and we could have some fun. We decided to brave the snow for a lovely long walk. Mum let me run off my lead all the way and I got lots of exercise. I even saw, and chased, a deer in the woods, but unfortunately I couldn't keep up with it and it escaped over the golf course. Mum was a bit worried, because she couldn't see me - I do tend to be a bit camoflaged by the snow. I couldn't miss her in her silly woolly hat so I was able to find her again very easily.
Once again I was made to pose for lots of pictures in the snow - it's very cold on the bottom being asked to sit for a photo you know. Anyway, now we're back and I've had a nice chew of a bone, so I'm contemplating curling up by the fire for a bit. I need to conserve my energy in this cold weather :-)

Snow-bored!
OK, so it's been three days of snow and I'm getting a bit bored of it now. It's very cold on my paws and gets my fur all wet. Mum insisted on going walkies again today so now I'm stretching out in front of the fire, trying to warm up my paws.
Look how tough it is for a little puppy trying to run in the snow :-(

Let it snow, let it snow
Wow, a really exciting thing happened this morning. I woke up and when mum let me out into the garden it was all white - I hardly recognised it! The white stuff, which mum said was called snow, was really cold on my paws but it was brilliant fun to run through and dig in.
Mum played with me in the garden before she went to work and when she came home we went for a long walk through the fields. The snow was really deep and it was hard work running through it but very exciting!
Mum said I shouldn't run off otherwise she'd lose me because I'm white like the snow but I couldn't resist the urge to chase a couple of birds. Mum took lots of photos so I've uploaded my favourite ones here :-)
Still dark out - I get my first look at the snow.

"It's very picturesque around here, isn't it?"
"Is that a yeti over there?"
"You mean all this white stuff just fell out of the sky?"
"Mum - have you got a towel?"
